Many of our delegates are extremely busy people. Optimal use of time is therefore critical in our work.

We have developed groundbreaking intensive programmes designed to help the delegates reach the state-of-the-art in as little as time as possible.

We have partnered with leading academic institutions, such as Christ Church, Oxford, to create an immersive learning environment for our delegates.

Our Schools are also excellent opportunities to meet and network with other leaders from the industry and the academia.

Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence

Course

The 2nd Thalesians' School in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

Dates: 27-31 March, 2019

Venue: Christ Church, the University of Oxford

We invited delegates to our Second School in AI and ML. The delegates went up to Oxford to study the theory and practise machine learning on real financial examples. They reviewed, learned, and mastered:

  • probability and statistics
  • linear regression methods
  • dimensionality reduction
  • unsupervised machine learning
  • bias-variance trade-off
  • model & feature selection
  • classification
  • neural nets
  • deep learning
  • recurrent neural networks, including LSTM
  • reinforcement learning
  • current frontiers in AI and machine learning (ML)

They also networked with other data scientists, fintech industry leaders and Oxford academics.

Course

The 1st Thalesians' School in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

Dates: 1-4 September, 2018

Venue: Christ Church, the University of Oxford

We invited delegates to our unique School in AI and ML. Following an introduction to data science and a refresher on Python programming on Level39, Canary Wharf, the delegates went up to Oxford to study the theory and practise machine learning on real financial examples. They reviewed, learned, and mastered:

  • probability and statistics
  • linear regression methods
  • dimensionality reduction
  • unsupervised machine learning
  • bias-variance trade-off
  • model & feature selection
  • classification
  • neural nets
  • deep learning
